"Steve in Manhattan" (blogenfreude01)

... that a movie exists with the following actors:
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Sir Ben Kingsley
Michael Madsen
Michelle Rodriguez
Meat Loaf
Charlie Chaplin’s daughter
But oh, it does exist. And boy does it suck. I don’t know if this counts as a major studio movie (because !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) but I can count it among the worst studio productions I’ve ever seen. So there’s that ....
For some reason, the director’s cut I bought from Amazon (for 5 bucks) comes with the video game disc for Bloodrayne (says PC/DVD ROM) - the movie was based on a video game, apparently. First one to email their mailing address gets it, if for some reason you want it. steve.reiness at gmail.com.
Update : and I’ll throw in the DVD of the movie. Like I’d watch it again?

I would but I have a Mac so I'll not try to take it away from someone who could actually play it

Ben Kingsley eats all of those people for breakfast and then shits out a Kevin Bacon before lunch.

The game was pretty good actually.
The movie sucked (pun intended).

SPOILER ALERT: watch Sir Ben die at the end of this movie ... it’s scenery chewing at its worst/finest.

First time for me getting a video game with a movie. We used to play Gran Turismo, but the magic wore off and I gave the game/wheel/pedals to a reader of this site. If I have something I don’t use, I’m always pleased to pass it on to someone who will use it.

Bloodrayne is on my “get someday just because it’s horrible” list, but wayyyy down. I’m not done filling out my “horribly awesome or awesomely horrible?” list - latest entries: Street Fighter and Hard Target.

On Bad Movie Birthday (used to do it with friends, birthday is Nov. 10th) I once watched Sucker Punch, Red Riding Hood, and Snow White and the Huntsman. In the same day. Back to back. You people are lucky I survived.

Bad on purpose can be fun too. Have you seen
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
? There’s also
Rubber
, which was trying to be bad in one way to prove an artistic point, and reveals its creator to be a self-gratifying moron, so it’s bad in
all
the ways. Oh right, I didn’t mention what it’s about. A psychic tire. That kills.

Yes it does ... and that might be the most enjoyable part of the movie. And usually I like Michelle Rodriguez in anything. Not this time.

I have not seen either of those .... I suppose I’ll have to watch them now.

As I heard when someone involved was interviewed: the director will shout at you if you get the title wrong. “Birdemic: SHOCK AND TERROR.” And I’ve seen it, but not the second one. And I have to gird my loins (whatever that means) and watch The Room. But not yet.

I wonder what it says about me that I knew precisely which film it was just by reading the first two names listed.
I haven't even played the game or seen the flick.

No, it doesn’t say anything about you ... I know far too much about James Bond and Planet of the Apes. I can nerd all day.
